“We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.” -- Romans 5:3-4
I bet you are all wondering "where is my prayer email???" Just kidding you probably didn't notice. But man oh man was it a tough one. I have spent many nights and early mornings these last 6 weeks praying, crying, and worrying. And as I was preparing my kids for picture day (hoping that their hair would stay — even though they never brush it normally) just as we split for the door my middle minion breaks - beyond repair, , a special, one-of-a-kind, irreplaceable ornament!
You see, we all face many challenges. As I have been pouring over the prayer requests trying to distract myself from my day-to-day hurts, loss of a family unit, sickness, loss of water etc, I forgot that by embracing my suffering I am robbing myself of the benefit of the hope and character I could be building in myself and modeling to my children.
I think of our precious Maranatha House and the stories they have as they process through the suffering they’ve experienced — and I rejoice in the Hope that Haiti has.
Thank you for your continued prayer support.
God hears you.
Roseberty, along with her peers, have seen this type of kindness modeled by the staff at Maranatha House and the entire Ncompass community for years. Its no wonder she wants to grow up and gain wisdom so that she can use it to benefit others too!
Sponsors are providing incredible education for these children - AND you are modeling what it means to be generous. THANK YOU!
